Where it all began...

15 years ago in Boulder, Colorado a store front opened with the name Pasta Fresca over the door. This location served as the retail outlet for fresh pastas and sauces. It was a home meal replacement concept before they came into fashion.

Due to the popularity of the products and the vast local acclaim, area restaurants solicited the company for fresh pastas and sauces for use in their own stores. As the foodservice side of the business grew, mainly due to the high quality of the products, so did the need for a larger facility.

At that point, the retail and foodservice operations split. In the transition, the foodservice operation moved to a facility that would be able to handle the amount of standing orders that were coming in on a regular basis. It was very important to Pasta Fresca to keep the same traditional Italian recipes from which they started. Even today, you will find some of those recipes in current sauces and pastas.

As the growth continued, Pasta Fresca soon realized that the foodservice division was experiencing much more expansion than the retail division. In an attempt to service their customers in the best possible way, Pasta Fresca officially sold off their retail arm and moved from their Boulder manufacturing plant to a larger one just down the road in Broomfield, Colorado.

It was 10 years ago, since that major expansion occurred. As a result of the move, Pasta Fresca was able to add a pizza production line, entrée line and custom production capabilities—including energy bars— to the existing pasta (flat and filled), and sauce manufacturing lines.

Today Pasta Fresca has grown and diversified into many exciting new areas. We are now located in a new state of the art facility in Louisville, Colorado which is equipped to produce not only our core business of pasta, dough’s, sauces, soups and entrees, but also accommodate our custom manufacturing capabilities. Our products are not only available in a number of regional and national restaurant chains but also in a variety of grocery chains.
